  • It is only 19 km far from the sea (Karlobag) and it is possible to combine hiking with the bathing in the sea together with accommodation on higher altitude (freshness!!)

  • Oštarije village is on the bus route Gospić-Karlobag (or Zagreb-Karlobag). The bus stop is Baške Oštarije. Gospić is on railway Zagreb-Knin-Split and it is accessible by train.
  • In order to reach Stupačinovo it will be better to ask bus driver to stop at Hotel Velebno and for Prpa is better to leave the bus just on Oštarijska Vrata pass.
  • From the road to Stupačinovo village there is 3 km long paved branch that starts at the end of the village toward the sea, after hotel Velebno.

Mountain hut Prpa is accessible from the road Gospić-Karlobag via branch that starts immediately before Oštarije pass (from continental side). The branch is about 400m long.
