"What Olympus is to Greeks, Mt Velebit is to the Croats" (Željko Poljak, Ph.D).
Traditionally, starting from 1994 with one longer break, we organize summer trips to Croatian seaside mountains. Recently, we visited Mt. Velebit each time another part, but we have also been at other places – Mt. Risnjak.
Our idea is to gather friends all over the world to walk, talk, see something and remember songs that we sung during our student days, to cook our traditional meal „čobanac“ and to end up the trip with sea bathing.
Usually, the group is formed of Croatian mountaineers but someone from abroad always joins us (Austria, France, Germany, Lithuania...).
